Overview of Peace Ambassador and the Award
The World Peace International Foundation (WPIF) and the United Nationals Peace Ambassador Federation (UNPAF), which are nonprofit organizations sanctions by the United States government, and the UN News USA are legally registered international organizations that actively support the guiding principles of the UN which are to seek development of society, nation, and the humankind for the ultimate goal of establishing peace without wars and integrating the global village, and accordingly to realize the underlying philosophy of the UN to generate future development value.
WPIF and UNPAF are affiliated as UN NGOs, and have been conducting special programs since 2005. The organizations have been awarding leaders from 105 countries around the world who are known for their humanism based leadership selected by their countries and whose achievements have been acknowledged by their own countries or the international community in the fields of peace, human rights, culture, sports, and religion with awards for ambassadors, human rights, and service, enabling and supporting the selected leader to continue to contribute to the development of their countries and the world even more. In particular, when recommended by the reporters of the UN News USA who have come to know prominent leaders including the United States and various countries in the world who have contributed greatly to improvements in academics, politics, culture, or environment, the review committee of WPIF shall select awardees and present them with citations based on the articles of associations and the review regulations through a strict and objective review process (review committee chairman: Prof. Ronald W. Heige, Ph.D) in the following fields.
The recipients of the awards shall receive award plaques, certificates of awards, and identification cards with which they pledge to continue to work toward development of the world and their own countries with their acknowledged leadership skills.
Recipients of Peace Ambassadors and Peace Awards are selected for only those who have contributed to generating a paradigm for developments of their countries and the global society shall be qualified as keynote speakers at the “International Peace Declaration Conference” which has been held annually since 2000 and their speeches will be widely reported in the major media outlets for which their leadership of influencing the international community will be prominently acknowledged.
Moreover, if the recipients of Peace Ambassadors and Peace Awards propose a project that will greatly contribute to world peace, the UN NGO Sustainability and WPIF shall organize a joint organization committee along with the UN to request support and active cooperation from all its membership countries to have a successful outcome of such projects.
All of the ideas and suggestions of the award recipients will be reported by the UN News USA. Additionally, partnering with all the UN related countries will take place, and opportunities to participate in the international world peace ambassador conference will be provided as well, in addition to opportunities to participate in the UN seminars and forums that are held every year and propose plans to promote world peace.
